Dr. Marty Gagliardi is a native of Philadelphia.  He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis in 1976 and moved east to Knoxville for his internship and residency.  After a brief hospital appointment in Florida, he returned to Knoxville and practiced orthopedic surgery and sports medicine for over twenty years.  In 2004 he began expanding his practice and developed a special interest in orthopaedic trauma.  He obtained medical licenses in eleven states, covered Level II orthopaedic trauma in Tacoma, Washington for the past three years and now practices regularly in Virginia and New York and occasionally in the other nine.

Dr. Gagliardi is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, California Fluoroscopy Certified and the recipient of the Circle of Hope Award for Arthritis Care.  He is also an Eagle Scout.

He currently resides on the Gulf Coast of northern Florida, where he is an avid sport fisherman, a curious traveler, and a Civil War buff.  He is also a father who strives to teach three simple lessons: remember that nobody is better than anyone else, never intentionally hurt anyone, and live with honesty, integrity, and dignity.
